The Pink Elephant Challenge

Hi Girlies, just a quickie this morning, as I have got relatives arriving from Lancashire for my party. Im sat here with a bad head because I went out for a curry with the girls last night and drunk a bit too much wine. This card is for the challenge over at TPE. The stamp is one borrowed from a friend again, I coloured it with watercolour pencils and then stamped all over it with clear embossing ink and clear powder to emboss it. The mesh down the side is actually drywall tape. I work for a company who supply plasterboard products so I can get it by the bucketload. I hope it qualifies for the textured background. Thank you for looking, I wont be posting till next tuesday, so I hope everyone has a lovely weekend whereever they are.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Ive been busy again this time its Papertake Weekly , another 40th birthday card! This time I gathered all the papers together before I coloured the stamp and it was much easier. Ok then, card stock is from my stash, the cream paper is from a surprise box from crafters companion when you spend your loyalty points. The spotty papers are from Canon Creative park and the paper on the diagnol bit is from my stash. The lovely stamp is a stamp that I have borrowed from a friend, I have no idea who does the stamp, but the stamps are coloured orange. There are loads of them so no doubt you will be seeing cards made with them. I had to stretch the sketch a bit to fit on an A5 card. Thank you for looking.

Mojo Monday Challenge 79

Needed to get the mojo going, and what better way to start by using a sketch from Mojo Monday. This is a card I needed to get in the post today for an old school friend who is 40 next Tuesday. She was born the day after me and our mothers became friends whilst in hospital together. We didnt go to primary school but ended up in the same form at high school. We send christmas cards to each other but I havent seen her for years. Ok lets get on to the card. The sketch is using this weeks challenge sketch. I really enjoyed using this sketch, very easy to put together. The pink paper is some that I had in my stash (cant remember where its from), also the card stock is just plain cardstock. The teabag papers are from Circle of Crafters free ones, you can print them in various sizes and I printed the smallest ones. My printer is running out of colour ink so they are bit paler than they should be. I used the xing fold (really easy). The punched edge is done using a fiskars punch that my friend lent me. It took me ages to do it, because I havent used one before. I used the swiss dots folder to embossed the green panel. The brads are from papermania, ribbon also out of my stash and the magnolia stamp is one that I bought recently at the NEC. I havent a clue what she is called (perhaps someone could tell me?) Anyway thank you for looking. I really enjoyed making this card.

Friday Sketchers Challenge #44

Im on a roll now. This is the challenge card Im entering for the Friday Sketchers Challenge #44. Its a birthday card Ive been asked to make. The stamp is a Magnolia one that I bought at the NEC last week and its the first time ive used it. I coloured her in with fine markers (which is all I have). Ive seen lovely colouring results with the copic whilst looking around other blogs and these are something I will buy over time. The flowers were a bargain, I got a bag of them for 50p at a craft stall. The papers are from my stash. The sentiment I used from the cute companion range, cant remember which set. Thank you for looking.

Now off to do to my shopping!

Challenge Card

Well I got into my craft room last night. It was a night where nothing went right but I managed to a last create something, the room was a tip afterwards mind you. This is using a sketch from sketch and stash challlenge. The stamp is one I borrowed from a friend, I think it said stampendous on the side of it. The image coloured with watercolours pencils, the paper is some from my stash and the flower and ribbon also from my stash. Oh and the scalloped edge is using a fiskars punch.

Ive got my own craft room

I had a brainwave this week, I have been crafting all this time on the dining room table with my paper upstairs under the bed and stuff in a tower stacker in the dining room. So I went up the loft and chucked a load of stuff out and put it all up there. Yes its not glamourous by any stretch of the imagination but its somewhere to go out of the way where I can make a mess and leave it if I want too.

Have a Happy Day!

Here is my first card I have made from the stamps from my candy win from Pink Gem. I have used Milly and Chickens. The background papers are some freebies from Papercraft magazine. I cuttlebugged the strip down the side (not sure which folder it is). The little flower are made from some punches I have. I used a embossing tool to make them curl up. Then I layered them and stuck a bead in the centre. Milly has been coloured in with watercolour pens (all I have at the moment). The sentiment stamp is from my cute companions mice collection. I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for their challenge. Im going to give the card to my friend Sara who is a fellow crafting friend, Im going there this morning.

My Nephew "Ben" Birthday Card

This is a quick card that I made from the Crafters Companion Guys and Gals cd. I know its quite plain, but I wasnt going to put loads of time and effort into something that will be tossed aside once open. He supports Burnley Football Club so I tried get the claret and blue colours by using the colouriser.
