A Thank you Card

This is a card I made this morning before going to work. It is for my childminder to thank her for caring for Harry and Victoria over the last 7 years. As some of my followers know I'm going on to part time hours from the beginning of August so Victoria wont be going to the childminders anymore. She is in year 6 when she goes back to school and is one of the older ones anyway (11 in October) and Harry is old enough to look after her. It isn't following any sketch or challenge and I must admit I did it in a bit of a rush. The Tilda is one of the images I received in a swap from Shirley (nannieflash) thanks Shirley.

We are all going to pick Victoria up from the childminders when I finish today with some flowers.

Tonight we set off to the Isle of Wight for nine nights and then Broadway in the Cotswolds for 5 nights, (Broadway is only about 15 miles from where I live). I will be commuting to work in Alcester.

When I come back I will be on my part time hours, so you may see more cards!!! See you when I get back.

Mojo Monday Week 96

Hi

Is that a card I hear you say!!!! I ventured into my craft room yesterday, nearlyforgot what it looked like. I made this card for my son Harry who is 14 on the 7th August. I hope it will qualifies for Mojo Monday but looking at the sketch since, I realise that the strip or ribbon should be under the circle so if it doesnt qualify it doesnt matter, I enjoyed making it anyway. I cheated a bit on this one, by using one of the pre coloured images of mikey and the sentiment is a freebie one from charmed crafts. Anyway got to go and venture into the strange place again to make a thank you card for my childminder. Bye for now.

A Wedding Card

This is a special card that I made for my sister in laws - mum and partner when they got married last November. The images and papers are from Joanna Sheens - Dancing With Shadows cd. The card was A5 in size and was made by attaching two A5 cards together. I also made a box to present it in.
It was well received and I believe they have since framed it.
Thanks for looking. Have a good weekend.

Some Iris Fold Cards

Ive no new cards to show you that I have done recently, but these three cards are what I made when I was keen on doing Iris Folding. The ladies are from a pattern called "Breezy Lady" created by a lady called Sheila from Circle of Crafters. Its a lovely pattern to do, it takes quite a bit of paper to make it and can be quite bulky at the back, but I would say its one of my favourite ones. The train iris fold below is one I was asked to do for a work colleague for her little boy, who was one. I really enjoyed making this one. I made the track by using an excel spreadsheet, colouring it black and then cutting out with a craft knife. Boy that was fiddly! and the smoke is cotton wool. Anyway I will be back over the next couple of days to show you some more of my makes. Thank you for looking.

A Stitched Card

I have just discovered the "blogger in draft" thing, so I am scheduling this to appear in my blog.

This is a card I stitched whilst at the caravan last summer.

I made it into a card for my box
