Sketch and Stash Challenge #8
Hi girlies. At long last Ive managed to get myself into my craft room (tucked away in the loft) to at first tidy it (cos it was a mess) and to create this card for the Sketch and Stash Challenge #8. Their sponsor this week is Bee Crafty which incidently their shop is only 10 miles from my house, the prize is a download of your choice. Ive never been there yet, but is on my list of "must visit". I really enjoyed doing this card. It is a thank you to my daughter's guide unit. They made a real fuss of me on my 40th birthday recently, the guides cooked pizza and chocolate cake, made me a lovely card and sang Happy Birthday to me. It was a lovely end to a really good weekend. Victoria also was enrolled as a guide as well. Anyway enough prattling on. The image is actually from a colouring website called Colouring.com, the image is 70's girls. They are free to use providing you link back to their website. I used my new prismas pencils to colour the image (I really love these pencils). I cut them with my new nesties. The quilled flower is also something new I have tried. I thought I could create some flower by quilling them, its a bit skew-wiff but it was my first go. The papers and ribbon are from my stash that I printed ages ago. Thank you for looking.

Hi Julie, just read your comment on my flowers, to be honest I bought a load and stuck them in one of my boxes then pull them out and make up any combination I think is the right colouring to go with the card. You could try using a Retro Flower punch and making them with paper, I know Bev does, I tried this afternoon and I couldnt get them to work with my card but I will try again sometime. To be absolutely honest I prefer to make up my Floral Punch flowers they are much more realistic but they do take me time to make. Love Shirleyxxxx
ReplyDeleteA treat for you sweetie !
